Ground perspective: fire photos

More fire, more photos... Theme: ground perspective

Save those orchids!

Fire on the ground

We burned 150 acres yesterday, the first burn of the year, many more to come. It did not burn as well as we had hoped but we got acceptable results. Here are a few from the day, I didn't pull out the camera often enough.

Flying... always

Played with the camera on the flight from Atlanta back home. Just some creative attempts... enjoy.

2009 Calendar in the works

I just finished going through all my photos from 2008 and I have selected 13 photos for my 2009 calendar. If you are interested in a copy of this calendar please email me and I can get you my mailing address and also yours. A 8.5 x 11" calendar costs $14 and a 11 x 14.5" costs $22 including US shipping. These prices are at cost, check out the photos and let me know if you like them. I will be getting them printed by Costco, I used this service last year and I really think the quality of the calendar was very good. If you have any questions email me, and I will try to answer your questions as best I can. Thank you for taking your time to check this out.

Recent trip to the Panhandle

I spent the week up in Tallahassee and here's a few photos from the trip. I might post the story about the BBQ and the story about the honey on post.a.card so I will save that for then. The panhandle is a different place, I enjoy it, but my body has gotten too used to being warm. When the mercury dips below 50 I have to seriously bundle up, maybe I have become soft in my times down here in FL.

yes it is.

Misty morning

I took these images in the past few mornings on my short walk to the office, I love the dew on the plants and spider webs. Maybe next time I will put on my macro lens.
