Home Front pt. 2

If your travels you find you are in eastern Oregon, swing on in and say "hey", they love visitors, you won't get out without a large meal or at least some coffee and a tour.

I was able to spend a short time at Mom and Dad's new place, lot's of explaining to do there which I may address at a later time, it was my first trip to the "Raven Ranch". Below you will find some of the pictures I took to capture their new environment. It's not for everyone, but they love it.

Lot's of things to see here, and with us leaving soon we better check them out now. We took a tour of Diamond and Crane along the way we stopped at the Round Barn, and stopped at Bill Thew's shop.

A night out at the Narrows

The Narrows is an area just west of the refuge headquarters. It gets it's name because it's a narrow area between the two big lakes here in Harney county. It separates Harney and Malheur lake. The family along with some of the crew met there for dinner last night, here are some photos.

Welcome home...

I am back in eastern Oregon for three weeks on a fire assignment. I will be working on the refuge that I grew up on. We do things a bit differently in eastern Oregon. Look for more photos and stories to follow, also check out the photo gallery from this trip.
